Hi I’m Lucy, Your Barrow & Bear Agent.

Since taking a gap year after school and spending time teaching English and travelling around South East Asia my passion for travel was ignited. I headed back to the UK and completed a BA Hons degree in Travel and Tourism Management before setting off again this time around the world spending time in America, The South Pacific, Australasia and Asia. A career in travel beckoned and I spent the next two years working for a leading Travel agency assisting students book their dream gap years before specializing in the Tailor-made travel sector where I spent the next ten years designing bespoke journeys for the discerning client. During this time we made the move across the pond from the UK to Australia, settling in Brisbane. I pride myself on offering first class personalized service with a nothing is to much trouble attitude. My favorite part of being a travel consultant is getting to know my clients and being a part of their travel journey.

Highlights Include:

• Floating down the River Ganges on a traditional boat and camping on the riverbank (India)
• Trekking through remote Hill-Tribe villages in Northern Vietnam
• Learning the skills to be an elephant mahout near Chang Mai (Thailand)
• Witnessing wild Orang-Utans frolicking on the banks of the Kinabatangan River (Borneo)
• Spotting a leopard taking sheltering from the afternoon sun in a tree whilst on safari (Southern India)
• Getting a rush of adrenalin swinging through a canyon in New Zealand
• Rising at dawn to witness the giving of alms to monks in Luang Prabang (Laos)
• Relaxing on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen in Rarotonga (Cook Islands)
• Plucking tea leaves with the locals and sampling the end product in Nuwara Eliya (Sri Lanka)
