Itinerary

Day 1 – Begin Your Trip to Japan in Tokyo

Welcome to Japan! Upon arrival at Tokyo International Airport, you will meet your driver who will transfer you to your hotel in the city centre. Tonight you will have the unique experience of sleeping in capsules! Once you have dropped off your belongings, you are free to explore the captivating chaos of Tokyo at your leisure: go window shopping, see a professional sumo match or visit an anime shop.

 

Day 2 – Tokyo to Kyoto

After breakfast at your hotel, take the bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto, a journey that takes around two and a half hours. After checking into your new accommodation, you will have the afternoon free to wander around Kyoto at your own pace. Kyoto is the perfect place to learn more about Japanese culture and you’ll find plenty to do here between its interesting museums, tea ceremonies or excellent high street shopping.

 

Day 3 – Kyoto and Nara TourSee All Photos

See a different side of Kyoto by going to Uji, where tradition still takes hold of society with some of the most beautiful temples, one of the best experiences here is a traditional tea ceremony in Byodo-in Temple. In the afternoon, head out to Nara to visit the sacred deer park and some impressive Shinto shrines. You’ll return to Kyoto early evening.

 

Day 4 – Universal Studio Theme Park in Osaka

Today you will spend a full day of excitement enjoying the rides at Universal Studio Japan in Osaka. One of Japan’s most coveted theme parks, this is an ideal place to visit with family or friends for a fun-fuelled adventurous day. Explore the nine areas of the theme park including Jurassic Park, Minion Park and Waterworld. Spend the night in the Universal hotel.

 

Day 5 – Another Day of Fun at Universal Studio

This is your second day where you can enjoy the rollercoasters, themed areas and fun snacks that Universal Studio offers. The perfect place to visit with kids, the theme park is dotted with famous characters and each area of the park will offer you a different experience. Spend hours getting lost in the park and having fun with all that there is to do here.

 

Day 6 – Osaka to Tokyo

This morning you will travel from Osaka to Tokyo on the high-speed bullet train. The journey will take around three hours. Once you have checked into your hotel in the city centre, the remainder of the day is free for you to spend some time enjoying Tokyo at your own pace. Head to Toyosu Fish Market for a taste of some of the freshest sushi in town or spend some time in the fashionable Harajuku district.

 

Day 7 – Mount Fuji and Hakone Day Tour

This morning you will be picked up at pick-up point in Tokyo and taken to Hamamatsucho station to catch a bus to Mt. Fuji. The journey will take around 2.5 hours and will have some stops along the way for you to take in the marvellous views. Upon arrival, you will take a cruise around Lake Ashinoko, one of the most beautiful lakes in Japan for its views of Mt. Fuji in the background. After, you will take a ropeway ride to the peak of Mt. Komagatake and visit the spiritual Hakone Shrine.

 

Day 8 – Free Day in Tokyo

Continue your trip to Japan in Tokyo today. You’ll have the day free to explore parts of the city that you have not yet touched. Perhaps, you could take this opportunity to do some shopping or learn a little more about Japanese culture. Visit the Shinjuku area for an immerse experience of this bustling city, which is home to the busiest train station in the world! You can also spend some time at Anime Plaza Akihabara, renowned for its anime and manga themed shops.

 

Day 9 – Tokyo DisneySea Amusement Park

Today you will spend the day exploring Tokyo DisneySea, a 176-acre theme park at the Tokyo Disney Resort. This park is inspired by the myths and legends of the sea and features seven different themed ports such as the Mediterranean Harbour, Mermaid Lagoon, the Arabian Coast and the American Waterfront. Enjoy the Disneyland atmosphere and numerous attractions at the park.

 

Day 10 – Explore Tokyo

For your last full day in Japan, you will get another opportunity to explore everything that Tokyo has to offer at your own pace. You can visit the vibrant neighbourhood of Shibuya, which is famous for its crossing, which sees the most number of people crossing its zebra strips in the world! You can also go shopping in Akihabara, known for its abundance of electronics.

 

Day 11 – Departure From Tokyo

After spending a wonderful 11-day trip to Japan, your holiday has come to an end. Take a bus to the airport in Tokyo in time to catch your departing flight home.
